Plant is a vegan restaurant on Merrimon Avenue in Asheville. Its website calls it a chef-driven restaurant focused on vegetables, fruit and active foods, with scratch-made dishes that draw on flavors and techniques from many cuisines. It is open for dinner and is meant for vegans and non-vegans alike. According to the site, the dining room is small, with 13 tables, 47 seats, kitchen-side dining and a seasonal 20-seat dog-friendly patio. It opened in 2011 and is locally owned and operated. Reservations are recommended and are made through Resy or in person, not by email. The same owners run a sibling daytime restaurant, Pulp + Sprout, a couple of blocks away.
