Asheville Symphony: Masterworks 5, Dedication

Masterworks 5: Dedication ties the Asheville Symphony's March program to a milestone for its venue: the ASO says First Baptist Church of Asheville is marking its 100th anniversary. Darko Butorac conducts Saint-Saëns' Symphony No. 3, "Organ," with Tade Addis at the sanctuary organ.

Also on the program are Respighi's Gli Uccelli (The Birds), which the ASO notes was written the year the church was dedicated, and Glière's Concerto for Horn with Jeffery Whaley as soloist. Performances are Saturday, March 20, 2027, at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the church on Oak Street.
