Asheville Municipal Golf Course
A 1920s Donald Ross-designed public course on the National Register of Historic Places, with its Helene-damaged front nine temporarily open as a disc golf course.

A Historic Donald Ross Course
Known locally as "Muni," the Asheville Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole course designed by Donald Ross in the 1920s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, one of the oldest courses in Western North Carolina.
Recovering From Helene
Hurricane Helene badly damaged the course's front nine in September 2024. While that half is rebuilt, the city has opened the front nine property to the public as a disc golf course, so the course currently offers 9 holes of golf on the back nine plus disc golf on the front. Check the official site for current status before you go.
Nearby
It sits close to downtown, so it is an easy add-on to a golf or disc golf morning before heading in for lunch.
