Crafting Variance

Crafting Variance is a group exhibition at Center for Craft in Asheville, listed as on view from October 9, 2026 through May 1, 2027 in the Bresler Family Gallery at 67 Broadway Street.
Center for Craft describes it as bringing together nine artists exploring natural, living and discarded materials, from sand, clay, maize and plant fibers to fungi, bacteria, hair and recycled plastics. The listing says that through sculpture, objects, film and material experiments, the show looks at how artists collaborate with the quirks of their materials, and that it was organized around guest curator Lola Ben-Alon of Columbia University.
An opening reception and curator talk are listed for Oct 9, 5:30 to 8 p.m. See the official exhibition page for visiting details.
