Little Shop of Horrors at Asheville Community Theatre

Asheville Community Theatre (ACT) opens its 80th Mainstage season with Little Shop of Horrors, the dark comedy musical about a nervous flower shop clerk and the bloodthirsty plant that makes him famous. It plays on the ACT Mainstage in downtown Asheville through Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Seymour Krelborn works at a struggling flower shop and has a crush on his coworker Audrey. When he finds a strange new plant and names it Audrey II, business takes off. The plant talks, sings and only grows on human blood, and it has much bigger plans. Howard Ashman wrote the book and lyrics and Alan Menken wrote the music, based on Roger Corman's film.

The run is September 18 to October 11, 2026, with shows on Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 PM. ACT is at 35 E. Walnut St. in Asheville. Tickets, content notes and the latest details are on the official ACT page.
