Matthew Neill Null presents Floodgate, with Tommy Hays

Malaprop's Bookstore/Cafe hosts author Matthew Neill Null on Thursday, October 29, from 6 to 7 p.m. at 55 Haywood St. in Asheville. He will discuss his novel Floodgate in conversation with Tommy Hays.

The bookstore describes the novel as the story of a former coal miner who takes a job overseeing construction of a large flood-control dam in 1960s West Virginia, with themes of family and community loyalty, moral responsibility and environmental destruction.

The bookstore lists the event as free, with registration required to reserve a seat. See the official Malaprop's event page for details.
