Offset: Figurative Selections from the Sherman Print Portfolio (exhibition)

Offset: Figurative Selections from the Sherman Print Portfolio is on view at the Asheville Art Museum from September 23 through December 6, 2026, in the Van Winkle Law Firm Gallery. It features 12 offset lithographs from a portfolio of 118 produced in commercial printer Jules Sherman's Manhattan printing plant in 1960s New York.
The prints show how each artist approached the human form amid the dialogue between Abstract Expressionism and figurative art. The exhibition was organized by the museum and curatorial intern Hailey Kasney, with support from the IFPDA Foundation.
Museum admission is $20 general, $15 for seniors 65 and up and $10 for students (plus tax), and free for members. The museum is at 2 South Pack Square. See the exhibition page.
