Value Studies: Artmaking and Worldmaking at Black Mountain College (exhibition)

Value Studies: Artmaking and Worldmaking at Black Mountain College is on view at the Asheville Art Museum, 2 South Pack Square, from December 18, 2026, through June 6, 2027, in the Appleby Foundation Exhibition Hall.
The museum says the show draws on its permanent collection and key loans to look at Black Mountain College (1933 to 1957) as a place where students and faculty tried out new ways of living, learning and relating to one another. Artists include Anni and Josef Albers, Ruth Asawa, Elaine and Willem de Kooning, Gwendolyn Knight and Jacob Lawrence, and Robert Rauschenberg.
Details are on the museum's exhibition page.
