American Art on Pack Square
The Asheville Art Museum is at 2 South Pack Square, right on the downtown square, and describes itself as a North Carolina museum exhibiting 20th century American art. It is an easy indoor stop between a walk around Pack Square Park and lunch downtown.
Current Exhibitions
The museum's site lists several 2026 shows, including Warp, Weft, and the Grid (July 17, 2026 to January 17, 2027), which looks at 19th and early 20th century southern Appalachian coverlets, and The Art of Paper (June 4 to November 29, 2026). Exhibitions rotate, so check the museum's site for what is on and for current hours and admission.
