Asheville Botanical Garden
A native-plant garden near UNC Asheville showcasing the flora of the Southern Appalachians.

A Quiet Green Space in Town
The Asheville Botanical Garden, at 151 W.T. Weaver Boulevard, is dedicated to plants native to the Southern Appalachian region. Its mission is to serve as an educational resource and urban destination for nature study, and it is a good place to slow down between the busier downtown attractions.
Visiting
The garden's site lists the grounds as open daily from sunrise to sunset, with a visitor center and gift shop open shorter hours, and it is run by a nonprofit funded by memberships, donations, and plant sales. It hosts a native plant sale each spring and fall, along with classes and garden tours. Confirm current hours and events on the garden's website.
Nearby
The garden is in North Asheville, a short drive from downtown. See also the larger North Carolina Arboretum.
