Wicked Weed Brewing
A downtown brew pub and a sour-beer taproom, the Funkatorium, from one of Asheville's best-known breweries.

Hoppy, Belgian, and Sour
Wicked Weed's site says the brewery specializes in West Coast style hoppy beers, open-fermented Belgians, and barrel-aged sours, and it currently lists three locations: the original Brew Pub at 91 Biltmore Avenue (a full restaurant, taproom, and bottle shop), the Funkatorium at 147 Coxe Avenue, and Wicked Weed West in Candler, inside its production facility.
The Funkatorium
Wicked Weed describes the Funkatorium as the East Coast's first taproom dedicated to sour and mixed-culture beer, with a German-style beer garden and a wood-fired menu. The Funkatorium also hosts local events and races, so check the calendar.
