Highland Brewing Company
Asheville's original craft brewery, with a big taproom, live music, food trucks, and Gaelic Amber Ale.

The One That Started It
Highland Brewing calls itself Asheville's original craft brewery, and its taproom at 12 Old Charlotte Highway is a big, easygoing spot with room for groups. Its Gaelic Amber Ale is the flagship, and the site also lists Highland Haze and seasonal beers.
What to Expect
Highland lists food trucks, brewery tours, live music, volleyball, and disc golf, plus reservable Silo Cabanas. The brewery hosts seasonal parties and beer release weekends. Hours were updated in April 2026 on its site, so check the official hours before you go.
